Who we are

Big Creek Pet Hospital is a well-established veterinary hospital located in Middleburg Heights and Olmsted Township.  We are a multi-doctor clinic with 3 RVT’s, and about 17 support staff whose main focus is to provide the best possible care to our community’s four-legged family members. 

Who we are looking for

Big Creek Pet Hospital is looking for a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician that has passed their VTNE.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about animal welfare and nurturing the human-animal bond.  If you believe education is the key to ensuring our patients a healthy long life, you will align with our mission and vision. Qualifications/Requirements

  • Must have an active Registered Veterinary Technician license
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a degree from an accredited 2-year program
  • Can stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis
  • Can lift 40#

Performance Expectations

  • Can provide compassionate care to our patients and clients
  • Conduct oneself in a confident and professional manner
  • Must be able to keep accurate medical records
  • Maintain a positive, cooperative relationship with all co-workers
  • Can assist the veterinarian in medical, surgical; prepares patients for surgery; administers anesthesia, monitors patients, and administers fluids.
  • Perform dental cleanings
  • Can effectively position animals for radiographs
  • Can place IV catheters and properly care for them.
  • Blood draws and processing lab request
  • Knowledgeable on all commonly used medications, vaccines, and preventatives
  • Has effective and professional communication skills
